A standalone watch client that dictates notes into subscribed projects and story ideas, then syncs them on its own session. - New :wear module: capture activity, tile and complication, project subscriptions, sync log, and a WorkManager periodic plus after-capture sync behind a single SyncCoordinator - Pairing over the Wearable Data Layer: the phone confirms the request and mints a session for the watch's install via the new /api/account/pair_install endpoint. Play Services builds only; the F-Droid build ships without it - Manual sign-in on the watch, with an Android 17 local network permission check before contacting a LAN server - Plaintext sync is opt-in: typing an http:// URL selects it, with a warning in server setup. HTTPS stays the default, and legacy settings always restore as HTTPS - Account sync extracted into SyncAccountUseCase, shared by the phone project list and the watch - temporaryProjectTask ref-counts concurrent users so one task no longer closes a scope another is still using - Wear version codes are offset from phone codes so both can ship in one Play listing - Crash handler and FileLogger moved into common for reuse

This is a plain-language explanation of how Hammer handles your data, from Dark Rock Studios, the makers of Hammer. The short version: Hammer is offline-first, your writing lives on your own devices, and we don't collect anything about you automatically. The longer version is below.
1. Your writing stays on your devices
Everything you create in Hammer — your stories, notes, encyclopedia entries, and settings — is saved as ordinary files on your own device. We can't see any of it. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, and you don't need an account to use the app.
2. We don't track you
No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no ads. We don't collect information about how you use the app, and we're not interested in it. The only thing the app reaches out to the internet for on its own is to check whether a newer version is available.
3. Sync is optional
Hammer can sync your work between your devices, but only if you turn it on — it's off by default. When you do, you connect the app to a sync server, and the content you choose to sync, along with your account details, is sent to that server so your devices can stay in step. How that server handles your data is up to whoever operates it; if it's a server someone else runs, their privacy policy applies, not this one.
4. Bug reports are yours to send
If something breaks and you want to report it, the app can gather recent logs to help us understand what went wrong. You decide whether to send them, and you can see what's included first. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to send it.
5. Security
For anything that does leave your device through a feature you turned on, we do our best to protect
it. Hammer connects to a sync server over an encrypted HTTPS connection unless you deliberately
enter an address beginning with http://, which some people need for a server on their own home
network. A plain http:// connection is not encrypted, so your account details and the writing you
sync can be read by anyone who can see that network. The app warns you when you enter such an
address. That said, no method of sending data over the internet is ever completely secure, and we
won't pretend otherwise.
6. Links to other places
Hammer may occasionally link to other websites. Those aren't ours, and we can't speak for how they handle your data. If you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one.
7. Children
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information through Hammer, get in touch and we'll address it. You also need to be at least 16 to consent to the processing of your personal information yourself (in some countries a parent or guardian can do so on your behalf).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
