📒 Map-G · Infra Boot Problem Map
Deployment logic errors: silent failures before anything runs.
This page tracks failures that happen before any prompt is sent — when vector indexes aren’t loaded, memory is empty, and pipelines silently fail because something upstream didn’t initialize.
Most RAG and agent systems don’t warn you when they’re in this state. They just return “no results,” leading to hours of misdiagnosis.
TXT OS detects and prevents these infra-time logic gaps.
🧨 Problems in This Category
| ID | Name | Description | Doc |
|---|---|---|---|
| #14 | Bootstrap Ordering Failure | Pipelines trigger before embeddings / memory are loaded | bootstrap-ordering.md |
| #15 | Deployment Deadlock | Circular waits or step mismatch prevent components from initializing | deployment-deadlock.md |
| #16 | Pre‑Deploy Collapse | Pipeline assumes components exist before actual deployment occurs | predeploy-collapse.md |
🔍 Example Symptoms
- “Why is my RAG returning nothing — even though chunks are there?”
- “Agents aren’t responding, but there’s no error.”
- “The API responds, but it’s clearly missing knowledge.”
These are not hallucinations — they’re infra‑level semantic gaps. Most open‑source templates fail silently here.
✅ WFGY Coverage
| Problem | Module / Detection | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Bootstrap Ordering | BBMC Load → ΔS = 0.0 trap | ✅ Stable |
| Deployment Deadlock | Init timer / ΔS timer lag | 🧪 In testing |
| Pre‑Deploy Collapse | Fallback memory + echo | ✅ Stable |
🔩 Architecture Insight
These failures live between file system and prompt — the “invisible” zone most LLM setups ignore.
WFGY treats these zones semantically:
- A system returning
[]despite working chunks → ΔS = 0 - An agent with no state loaded → triggers fallback echo, not silence
- A chain step blocked by upstream init → triggers ΔS loop-drift abort
🛠 Debugging Tips
- Add
--debug-memory=trueto see memory state - Trace
ΔSacross init steps — if it stays flat at 0.0, something never loaded - Use WFGY’s echo fallback — the moment it triggers, you’ll know it’s not a model issue
🧪 Test This Yourself
TXT OS triggers these bugs intentionally if you skip setup:
# Don’t load memory.txt — see what breaks
$ TXTOS.txt → “hello world” → ask a domain question
→ System will echo fallback and flag missing BBMC layer
🎯 Why Most People Miss This
Most people assume:
“If I got an answer, the system is working.”
WFGY says:
“If you got an answer with ΔS = 0.0, your system is pretending.”
This map helps you catch those pretenders.
