vim: Fix visual mode entry at line end near trailing newline (#50709)
In Helix, selecting a line with `x` creates a selection from column 0 of
the current row to column 0 of the next row. The default
`InsertEndOfLine` uses the selection head (which is on the next row) to
find the line end, placing the cursor on the wrong line.

This commit introduces a new `HelixInsertEndOfLine`, mapped by default
to `shift-a` when Helix mode is enabled, that moves left from the head
first to land on the correct line.

Release Notes:

- Fixed `shift-a` in Helix select mode placing the cursor on the wrong
line after selecting with `x`

agent_ui: Add keybinding to cycle through new thread location options & settings (#51384)
This PR adds the ability to save in the settings whether new threads
should start in the current project or in a new Git worktree.
Additionally, it also adds a keybinding that allows cycling through the
menu options easily, with the ability to use cmd-click/enter to choose
which one is set as the default.

No release notes because this feature/settings depends on a feature flag
that isn't out yet.

Add missing ctrl-shift-g binding for editor::UndoSelection to the JetBrains/IntelliJ keymap on macOS (#51130)
## Description:

This PR adds the missing `ctrl-shift-g` binding for
editor::UndoSelection to the JetBrains/IntelliJ keymap on macOS.

## Problem

In IntelliJ IDEA, when using multiple cursors:
- ctrl+g (macOS) adds the next occurrence to the selection
- ctrl+shift+g (macOS) removes the last added occurrence from the
selection

The current Zed JetBrains keymap has `ctrl-g` for SelectNext but is
missing the corresponding `ctrl-shift-g` for undoing/removing the last
selection.

## Reference

- Press Ctrl+G (macOS) to find and select the next occurrence
[link](https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/multicursor.html#multiple_words)

- To remove selection from the last selected occurrence, press
Ctrl+Shift+G (macOS)
[link](https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/multicursor.html#multiple_words)

This change improves parity with IntelliJ for users transitioning to
Zed.

git: Add the ability to resolve merge conflicts with the agent (#49807)
This PR adds a "Resolve with Agent" button in each merge conflict block,
as well as "Resolve Conflicts with Agents" button on a notification for
resolving conflicts across all the files that have any. When clicking on
either of these buttons, the agent panel opens up with a template prompt
auto-submitted. For the first case, the specific content of the merge
block is already attached as context for the agent to act quickly, given
it's a local and small context. For the second case (all conflicts
across the codebase), the prompt just indicates to the agent which files
have conflicts and then it's up for the agent to see them. This felt
like a simpler way to go as opposed to extracting the content for all
merge conflicts across all damaged files.

Here's how the UI looks like:

git: Introduce restore and next action (#50324)
Add a `git::RestoreAndNext` action that restores the diff hunk at the
cursor and advances to the next hunk. In the git diff view, the default
restore keybinding (`cmd-alt-z` on macOS, `ctrl-k ctrl-r` on
Linux/Windows) is remapped to this action so users can quickly restore
hunks in sequence. Also refactor `go_to_hunk_before_or_after_position`
to accept a `wrap_around` parameter, eliminating duplicated
hunk-navigation logic in `do_stage_or_unstage_and_next` and
`restore_and_next`.

Release Notes:

- Added a `git: restore and next` action that restores the diff hunk at
the cursor and moves to the next one. In the git diff view, the
default restore keybinding (`cmd-alt-z` on macOS, `ctrl-k ctrl-r` on
Linux/Windows) now triggers this action instead of `git: restore`.

Ensure consistent newline behavior in auto-height editors with JetBrains keymap (#47595)
Add an explicit `Editor && mode == auto_height` context block. This
ensures that `Shift+Enter` and `Ctrl+Enter` correctly insert a newline

mapping `Shift+Enter` to `editor::NewlineBelow`).

editor: Add support for no auto-indent on enter (#47751)
Closes #47550

Changes the `auto_indent` setting from a boolean to an enum with three
modes:

- **`full`** (default): Adjusts indentation based on syntax context when
typing (previous `true` behavior)
- **`preserve_indent`**: Preserves the current line's indentation on new
lines, but doesn't adjust based on syntax
- **`none`**: No automatic indentation - new lines start at column 0
(previous `false` behavior)

This gives users more control over indentation behavior. Previously,
setting `auto_indent: false` would still preserve indentation on new
lines, which was unexpected.

Includes:
- Settings migration from boolean to enum values
- Settings UI dropdown renderer

Release Notes:

- Changed `auto_indent` setting from boolean to enum with `full`,
`preserve_indent`, and `none` options

Fix terminal path click failing when path is prefixed with '0:' (#50663)
The path hyperlink regex's middle-char pattern
[[:(][^0-9()]](cci:2://file:///d:/zed/crates/fs/src/fs.rs:89:0-157:1)
allowed colon+space because space was not in the exclusion set. This
caused `0: foo/bar.txt` to be matched as a single path instead of just
`foo/bar.txt`.

Fix: add space to the exclusion class: [[:(][^0-9()\\

agent_ui: Use main message editor for editing queued messages (#50490)
This PR changes the behavior of editing queued messages. Previously, you
could type directly in the editor that was used to displayed a queued
message. However, that felt a bit anxiety-inducing because there was a
chance the message would get sent before you could've wrapped up your
edits. And even if we blocked the message to get sent while focused on
the editor, it could still be a bit unpredictable. So, with this PR, if
you type on a queued message, the content of that message goes
immediately back to the main message editor. Effectively, you're taking
that message off the queue so you can edit it, and then if you hit enter
(while there's a generation ongoing), that content goes back into the
queue.

I believe this allows for a calmer editing experience when wanting to
touch up or increment a queued message.

Here's a video of the flow:

https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/ec60ccad-2b04-4b7c-a8f5-95baa443d9f2

In the video, I'm showcasing a few things:
- in case the main message editor already had content, the content from
the edited queued message is appended to it. That avoids the user
surprisingly losing information.
- the fact that mention creases still work well and are not converted
back into plain text

Release Notes:

- Agent: Made editing queued messages better by moving the contnet back
to the main message editor, avoiding the chance of it getting sent
mid-editing.

project_panel: Add diagnostic count badges (#49802)
Discussed in #6668 specifically this comment from @zackangelo:

> The biggest thing keeping me from using Zed as a daily driver is error
indication in the project panel. When I'm making big project-wide
changes I can't clearly see which files have errors (in editors like
VSCode the filenames turn red).

> VSCode seems to use a letter on the right gutter to indicate git
status and a number next to it to indicate diagnostic status. The color
indicates either.

This PR implements that, I added an opt-in `diagnostic_badges` setting
(default is false) that shows error and warning counts as colored labels
on the right side of each project panel entry. Counts bubble up to
parent directories.

When `diagnostic_badges` is enabled, diagnostic severity takes priority
over git status for entry text color.
Since warnings and git-modified share the same yellow, git status with
this option on is readable through the file icon decoration and the
absence of a number badge on the right.

Example:
<img width="522" height="785" alt="image"

and warning counts next to file names. You can modify this setting using

agent: Change tool name to spawn_agent (#49741)
After looking around a bit, I felt like subagent wasn't the right way to
introduce this tool to the model. And with some back and forth
verification + market research, we both agreed spawn_agent was a better
name for what this tool is doing.

It still calls the right tool if you ask for a subagent, but especially
if we move these to be running in the background, spawn will be a better
name anyway.

Add agent worktree directory setting + worktree info persistence (#49139)
Add `agent_worktree_directory` to `GitSettings` for configuring where
agent worktrees are stored (default: Zed data dir). Remove `Copy` derive
from `GitSettings`/`GitContentSettings` (incompatible with String field)
and fix downstream `.as_ref().unwrap()` call sites.

Define `AgentGitWorktreeInfo` (branch, worktree_path, base_ref) and add
it to `DbThread` + `DbThreadMetadata` for persistence and session list
display.

git_ui: Add "Review Branch" with agent feature (#49513)
This PR adds a button in the `git: branch diff` view that allows to
quickly and easily send the entire diff to your last used agent for a
review. What this does is automatically submits a (pre-written and
generic) prompt to the last agents you were using in the agent panel
with the whole content of your diff.

agent_ui: Add the ability to undo "reject all" (#48462)
Closes https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/39294

This PR implements the ability to undo the "reject all" action from the
agent panel (and the other places where this button is surfaced).
Effectively, this allows to recuperate the edits an agent has introduced
in case you either accidentally clicked the button or regretted the
decision to reject all.

Remove older onboarding modals (#49484)
This PR removes onboarding modals for features that were announced, at
this point, a long time ago: Git v1, Debugger, and Agent Panel v1. This

left the ACP and Claude Code ones, though; they were the two more recent
ones, but we should be able to remove them soon enough, too.

Tone down color for invisible characters in One themes (#46247)
Related: https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/5592

Coming from vscode, the first thing I noticed (after the amazing speed
that zed started) was the boldness of the whitespace characters.

This mutes the whitespace "invisible" character color in the one theme
so that they are less aggressive. This more closely (but not perfectly)
aligns with the one theme for vscode. In order to avoid adding a new
color to the theme, I reused the `editor.line_number` value in both
cases which worked well.

terminal: Fix hyperlinks not being detected correctly when preceded by box-drawing chars (#48447)
Closes #46795

This PR aims to correctly detect the hyperlinks in cases like the
following, where box-drawing characters immediately precede the path
(without spaces in between).

```
╭─[Cargo.toml:55:1]
...
╰────
```

The only false negative with the fix in this PR would be that a file
path really contains leading box drawing characters which I think is
very unlikely.

Release Notes:

- Fixed an issue where the hyperlinks would not be properly detected in
the terminal if they were preceded by box-drawing characters (like ─, │,
┌, ┐)

Remove Agents Panel and utility panes (#49038)
Remove the `AgentsPanel` (from the `agent_ui_v2` crate) and the utility
pane infrastructure from the codebase.

The Agents Panel was a separate panel gated behind the `agent-v2`
feature flag that was redundant with the existing Agent Panel. Utility
panes were a layout concept (secondary panes next to the editor,
separate from dock panels) whose only consumer was `AgentThreadPane` in
the Agents Panel.

### Changes
- Deleted the entire `agent_ui_v2` crate (`agents_panel.rs`,
`agent_thread_pane.rs`)
- Deleted `workspace/src/utility_pane.rs`
- Removed `UtilityPane`, `UtilityPaneHandle`, `UtilityPanePosition`,
`MinimizePane`, `ClosePane` from `workspace/src/dock.rs`
- Removed all utility pane fields, methods, and render blocks from
`workspace.rs`
- Removed all aside toggle code from `pane.rs` and `pane_group.rs`
- Removed `agents_panel_dock` setting from agent settings and
`default.json`
- Removed all `agent_ui_v2` references from `main.rs`, `zed.rs`, and
Cargo.toml files
- Cleaned up test code in `tool_permissions.rs` and `agent_ui.rs`
