Adds a one-time, idempotent startup migration that moves every user Rule
out of the `PromptStore` LMDB database into the new Skills + AGENTS.md
world, in a single pass:
- **Non-Default Rules → global Skills.** Each one becomes
`~/.agents/skills/<slug>/SKILL.md` with `disable-model-invocation:
true`, preserving the original behavior that non-Default Rules were only
ever invoked when the user named them. They're now invokable via
`/skill-name` (and still `@`-mentions).
- **Default Rules → global AGENTS.md.** Each one is appended to
`paths::agents_file()` (e.g. `~/.config/zed/AGENTS.md` on macOS/Linux,
`%APPDATA%\Zed\AGENTS.md` on Windows) under an `## H2` heading
containing the rule's title. Default Rules used to be auto-included in
every conversation; the global AGENTS.md is loaded into the system
prompt of every conversation, so the behavior is preserved.
- **Customized built-in prompts → global AGENTS.md** (currently just the
commit-message prompt). If the user has edited a built-in away from
Zed's shipped `default_content()`, the edited body is appended at the
top of the AGENTS.md block. Uncustomized built-ins (still on the shipped
default) are skipped so we don't pollute AGENTS.md with text the user
never wrote.
The migration is gated on the `skills` feature flag — users without the
flag never have their Rules touched in any way. A single global KVP flag
(`rules_to_skills_migration_done`) short-circuits the migration on
subsequent launches, so it runs at most once per machine even across
release channels. A process-lifetime `AtomicBool` guard additionally
prevents racing duplicate spawns when the underlying `cx.on_flags_ready`
callback fires multiple times at startup.
Migration is intentionally non-destructive: rule rows in the LMDB
database stay in place. Users can still see and edit them through the
existing UI, and a downgrade to a Zed build without skills support won't
lose anything.
Slug generation (`agent_skills::slugify_skill_name`) lowercases ASCII
letters, turns spaces into dashes, and drops every other
non-alphanumeric character entirely — so `foo!bar` becomes `foobar`, not
`foo-bar`. `&` is special-cased to become `and` (so `rock&roll` →
`rock-and-roll`). Slug collisions and pre-existing skill directories are
handled by appending `-2`, `-3`, etc.
A title-bar onboarding banner ("Skills have replaced Rules") surfaces
for every user on the `skills` feature flag. Clicking it opens a small
`AlertModal`-based explainer that summarizes the two destinations and
points users at the new `/skill-name` slash command (and notes that
`@`-mentions still work).

`BufferSearchBar::deploy` instead of updating the query editor directly.
- Add an explicit seed-query override to `deploy`, so the Cmd-E action
can force `SeedQuerySetting::Always` while regular deploy callers
continue to pass `None` and respect the user’s
`seed_search_query_from_cursor` setting.
- By going through `deploy`, Cmd-E now also runs the search path that
keeps buffer-search navigation state in sync:
- shows/initializes the search bar for the active searchable item
- applies the seeded query via `search_suggested`
- calls `search`, which updates the query editor, search options, active
search query, search history, and macOS find pasteboard
- refreshes `searchable_items_with_matches` and `active_match_index`

- This ensures the subsequent Cmd-G action has the expected active
query, match list, search token, and active match index to select the
next result.
- Add a macOS-only end-to-end regression test using the default macOS
keymap with `simulate_keystrokes("cmd-e")` and
`simulate_keystrokes("cmd-g")`.

This PR makes Zed only have one worktree picker, as opposed to a flavor
of it in the title bar and another in the agent panel. It then moves it
to the title bar, making it always present, so that its trigger is
separate from the branch picker (which now contains only two views:
branches and stashes). For the worktree picker, I'm mostly favoring the
behavior we've introduced in the agent-panel-flavored version.
It also updates the title bar settings migration to use the JSON
`migrate_settings` helper instead of a shallow Tree-sitter rewrite, so
old `show_branch_icon = true` values are promoted to
`show_branch_status_icon = true` across root, platform, release-channel,
and profile settings scopes.

This fixes an issue reported by @Veykril where the "Try Now" button
would open a different panel than the agent panel. The bug was caused by
us attempting to focus the agent panel before layout settings updates
had been applied.
This should also make all programmatic settings updates more responsive,
because they won't have to wait for FS watchers to take effect.

Overrides `ctrl-tab` when the sidebar/agent panel is focused to switch
between recently viewed threads

The tab context menu has "Copy Path", "Open in Terminal", and "Reveal In
Project Panel" but no way to reveal the file in the system file manager.
This action already exists in three other context menus (editor
right-click, project panel, outline panel) but was missing from tab
right-click.
## Changes
Adds a platform-specific entry to the tab context menu:
- **macOS:** "Reveal in Finder"
- **Windows:** "Reveal in File Explorer"
- **Linux:** "Reveal in File Manager"
Placed after "Copy Relative Path" and before "Pin Tab". Gated behind
`is_local` (including WSL with host interop) to match the project
panel's behavior. Uses the existing `project.reveal_path()`
infrastructure, which handles platform-specific file manager invocation
and WSL path conversion.
## Prior art
Every major editor has this in the tab context menu:
- VS Code: "Reveal in Finder" (macOS) / "Reveal in File Explorer"
(Windows)
- JetBrains IDEs: Right-click tab -> "Open in" -> "Finder"
- Sublime Text: Right-click tab -> "Reveal in Finder"
Zed already has this in the editor body right-click menu (`Cmd-K R`),
project panel (`Alt-Cmd-R`), and outline panel. The tab context menu was
the only place it was missing.

This PR adds a "Resolve with Agent" button in each merge conflict block,
as well as "Resolve Conflicts with Agents" button on a notification for
resolving conflicts across all the files that have any. When clicking on
either of these buttons, the agent panel opens up with a template prompt
auto-submitted. For the first case, the specific content of the merge
block is already attached as context for the agent to act quickly, given
it's a local and small context. For the second case (all conflicts
across the codebase), the prompt just indicates to the agent which files
have conflicts and then it's up for the agent to see them. This felt
like a simpler way to go as opposed to extracting the content for all
merge conflicts across all damaged files.

This PR removes onboarding modals for features that were announced, at
this point, a long time ago: Git v1, Debugger, and Agent Panel v1. This
cleans up the actions list a bit when you search for "onboarding". I

Remove the `AgentsPanel` (from the `agent_ui_v2` crate) and the utility
pane infrastructure from the codebase.
The Agents Panel was a separate panel gated behind the `agent-v2`
feature flag that was redundant with the existing Agent Panel. Utility
panes were a layout concept (secondary panes next to the editor,
separate from dock panels) whose only consumer was `AgentThreadPane` in
the Agents Panel.

- If in a project with `.devcontainer/devcontainer.json`, a pop-up
notification will ask if you want to open the project in a dev
container. This can be dismissed:

*Limitations*
This is a first release, and comes with some limitations:
- Zed extensions are not managed in `devcontainer.json` yet. They will
need to be installed either on host or in the container. Host +
Container sync their extensions, so there is not currently a concept of
what is installed in the container vs what is installed on host: they
come from the same list of manifests
- This implementation uses the [devcontainer
CLI](https://github.com/devcontainers/cli) for its control plane. Hence,
it does not yet support the `forwardPorts` directive. A single port can
be opened with `appPort`. See reference in docs
[here](https://github.com/devcontainers/cli/tree/main/example-usage#how-the-tool-examples-work)
- Editing devcontainer.json does not automatically cause the dev
container to be rebuilt. So if you add features, change images, etc, you
will need to `docker kill` the existing dev container before proceeding.
- Currently takes a hard dependency on `docker` being available in the
user's `PATH`.

This PR makes the `OpenProjectSettings` action open the settings UI in
project settings mode for the first visible worktree, instead of opening
the file. It also adds a `OpenProjectSettingsFile` action that maintains
the old behavior.
Finally, this PR partially fixes a bug where the settings UI won't load
project settings when the settings window is loaded before opening a
project/workspace. This happens because the global `app_state` isn't
correct in the `Subscription` that refreshes the available setting files
to open. The bug is still present in some cases, but it's out of scope
for this PR.

Worktree creations are implemented similar to how branch creations are
handled on the branch picker (the user types a new name that's not on
the list and a new entry option appears to create a new branch with that
name).

With this picker you have a few workflows:
- Open the picker and type the name of a branch that's checked out on an
existing worktree:
- Press enter to open the worktree on a new window
- Press ctrl-enter to open the worktree and replace the current window
- Open the picker and type the name of a new branch or an existing one
that's not checked out in another worktree:
- Press enter to create the worktree and open in a new window. If the
branch doesn't exists, we will create a new one based on the branch you
have currently checked out. If the branch does exists then we create a
worktree with that branch checked out.
- Press ctrl-enter to do everything on the previous point but instead,
replace the current window with the new worktre.
- Open the picker and type the name of a new branch or an existing one
that's not checked out in another worktree:
- If a default branch is detected on the repo, you can create a new
worktree based on that branch by pressing ctrl-enter or
ctrl-shift-enter. The first one will open a new window and the last one
will replace the current one.
Note: If you preffer to not use the system prompt for choosing a
directory, you can set `"use_system_path_prompts": false` in zed
settings.

Very often, when I'm testing or playing around with the zoom feature,
including the agent panel, I find myself missing one quick action that
would bring everything back to normal. That's what `ResetAllZoom` does.
If you have customized your zoom level in all areas of Zed, that action
returns everything to its default state. Similarly, if you're playing
around with zoom just in the agent panel, `ResetAgentZoom` does the same
in that context.

return the zoom level across the whole app and/or just in the agent
panel to its default/original value.
This PR renames the `agent::QuoteSelection` to
`agent::AddSelectionToThread` _and_ adds it as a menu item in both the
right-click context menu within regular buffers as well as the
"Selection" app menu.
We've received feedback in the past about how hard to discover this
feature is, and after watching [the Syntax podcast
crew](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRK3PeVFfVE) recently struggle
with doing so—and then naturally looking for it in the context menu and
not finding it—it felt like time to push a change. I think the rename +
the availability in these places could help bringing it to surface more.
The same action can be done in Cursor through the `cmd-l` keybinding,
but in Zed, that triggers `editor::SelectLine`, which I don't want to
override by default. However, if you're using Cursor's keymap, then
`cmd-l` does trigger this action, as expected.

We've been considering removing workspace-hack for a couple reasons:
- Lukas ran into a situation where its build script seemed to be causing
spurious rebuilds. This seems more likely to be a cargo bug than an
issue with workspace-hack itself (given that it has an empty build
script), but we don't necessarily want to take the time to hunt that
down right now.
- Marshall mentioned hakari interacts poorly with automated crate
updates (in our case provided by rennovate) because you'd need to have
`cargo hakari generate && cargo hakari manage-deps` after their changes
and we prefer to not have actions that make commits.
Currently removing workspace-hack causes our workspace to grow from
~1700 to ~2000 crates being built (depending on platform), which is
mainly a problem when you're building the whole workspace or running
tests across the the normal and remote binaries (which is where
feature-unification nets us the most sharing). It doesn't impact
incremental times noticeably when you're just iterating on `-p zed`, and
