JetBrains keymap: Add CamelHump subword navigation (#51540)
Closes #21054

## Summary
• make the JetBrains base keymap use subword motions for
`Alt+Left/Right` and `Shift+Alt+Left/Right` in editors
• keep Zed's default keymaps and the underlying `word`/`subword`
primitives unchanged
 • document word vs. subword navigation in the key bindings docs
• document the JetBrains default in the IntelliJ, WebStorm, PyCharm, and
RustRover migration guides

## Testing
 • `./script/check-keymaps`
 • `cargo fmt --all -- --check`
 • `./script/clippy -p editor`
• `cd docs && pnpm dlx prettier@3.5.0 src/key-bindings.md
src/migrate/intellij.md src/migrate/webstorm.md src/migrate/pycharm.md
src/migrate/rustrover.md --check`

Related to #12816 and #34090, but does not actually address the
configurable word separators or broader subword semantics. Intentionally
scoped to JetBrains keymap defaults & docs.

Release Notes:

- Improved JetBrains keymap behavior by adding CamelHump-style subword
navigation in editors.

Split VSCode and Zed keymap files (#61532)
Currently, Zed's "VSCode" keymap has certain discrepancies that are not
changed for compatibility reasons, e.g. opening inline assistant is
different in each editor.

To simplify the transition, extract VSCode bindings its own keymap so in
the future it's simpler to accept changes to each keymap separately.

Caveat: people who had ever changed the keymap, will have VSCode keymap
in their settings which will change their bindings slightly after this
commit is released.

I had to introduce more logic to `null` handling as had to somehow
disable `ctrl-enter` on mac from spawning the inline assistant block for
VSCode keymap (it's cmd-i there).

Fix grammatical errors throughout the documentation (#58183)
Fixes a batch of grammatical mistakes found across the `docs/` folder:
typos/misspellings, subject-verb agreement errors, missing and
duplicated words, article errors (`a`/`an`), wrong word forms, and
punctuation issues (doubled periods, unclosed parentheses).

Scope is limited to prose in `docs/src/**`; no behavior, settings, or
code changes. 33 files updated, 49 lines changed.

Representative fixes:

- `globs.md`: "features varies" -> "features"; "platforms libc" ->
"platform's libc".
- `installation.md`: "the follow macOS releases" -> "the following macOS
releases".
- `key-bindings.md`: "command pallets" -> "command palette's".
- `linux.md`: capitalization after a period; "able to the environment
variable" -> "able to set the environment variable"; "These feature also
requires" -> "This feature also requires".
- `multibuffers.md`: "Window/Linux" -> "Windows/Linux"; added a missing
closing parenthesis.
- `reference/all-settings.md`: several agreement/article/missing-word
fixes plus an unclosed parenthesis.
- `languages/*`: "partent" -> "parent", "complimentary" ->
"complementary", "setup" -> "set up", "is enabled" -> "are enabled", and
similar.

docs: Apply documentation standards across all docs (#49177)
## Summary

Comprehensive remediation of 146 documentation files to align with Zed's
documentation conventions and brand voice guidelines.

## Changes

### YAML Frontmatter
- Added `title` and `description` frontmatter to all docs missing it

### Settings UI Pattern
- Updated 48+ files to show Settings Editor before JSON examples
- Pattern: `Configure X in Settings ({#kb zed::OpenSettings}), or add to
your settings file:`
- Added `([how to edit](./configuring-zed.md#settings-files))` links for
JSON-only settings

### Brand Voice Fixes
- Removed exclamation points (command-palette, key-bindings, repl,
privacy-and-security, etc.)
- Simplified em dash chains to parentheticals (environment,
troubleshooting, agent-panel, etc.)
- Fixed marketing language (yarn.md intro, development/linux.md)

### Terminology Alignment
- `settings UI` -> `Settings Editor`
- `sidebar` -> specific panel names (Project Panel, Collab Panel)
- `directory` -> `folder` in non-technical contexts
- `workspace` -> `project` in non-LSP contexts
- `Command Palette` -> `command palette` (lowercase)

### Callout Standardization
- Converted various callout formats to standard `> **Note:**` pattern

docs: Apply brand voice standards to AI documentation (#48401)
## Summary

Reviewed and updated all 18 files in `docs/src/ai/` to meet Zed's brand
voice standards. Each file was scored against the 8-criterion rubric and
rewritten where needed to achieve 4+ on all criteria.

**Changes include:**
- Remove "Learn how to/about" patterns (8 instances)
- Replace vague phrases ("various types of tasks", "and more") with
specific examples
- Remove taboo words ("seamless", "naturally extends")
- Remove emotional language ("We're excited/thrilled/happy")
- Remove marketing patterns ("Stay tuned!", exclamation points)
- Remove unverifiable claims ("world's fastest")
- Replace hedging with direct statements
- Remove promotional emphasis (`_free_`, `**_for free_**`)
- Fix typo in external-agents.md ("servers" → "serves")
- Fix broken link syntax for Ollama Turbo

## Test plan

- [x] `mdbook build` succeeds
- [x] Grep for remaining taboo phrases (only one "seamless" in MCP
official quote, preserved intentionally)
- [x] All facts preserved (URLs, keybindings, settings keys, prices,
model names)

Update keymap context binding behavior of > and ! (#34664)
Now ! means "no ancestors matches this", and > means "any descendent"
not "any child".

Updates #34570

Co-authored-by: Ben Kunkle <ben@zed.dev>

Release Notes:

- *Breaking change*. The context predicates in the keymap file now
handle ! and > differently. Before this change ! meant "this node does
not match", now it means "none of these nodes match". Before this change
> meant "child of", now it means "descendent of". We do not expect these
changes to break many keymaps, but they may cause subtle changes for
complex context queries.

Release Notes:

- linux: When typing non-ASCII keys on Linux we will now also match
keybindings against the QWERTY-equivalent layout. This should allow most
of Zed's builtin shortcuts to work out of the box on most keyboard
layouts. **Breaking change**: If you had been using `keysym` names in
your keyboard shortcut file (`ctrl-cyrillic_yeru`, etc.) you should now
use the QWERTY-equivalent characters instead.

macOS: Add key equivalents for non-Latin layouts (#20401)
Closes  #16343
Closes #10972

Release Notes:

- (breaking change) On macOS when using a keyboard that supports an
extended Latin character set (e.g. French, German, ...) keyboard
shortcuts are automatically updated so that they can be typed without
`option`. This fixes several long-standing problems where some keyboards
could not type some shortcuts.
- This mapping works the same way as
[macOS](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/swiftui/view/keyboardshortcut(_:modifiers:localization:)).
For example on a German keyboard shortcuts like `cmd->` become `cmd-:`,
`cmd-[` and `cmd-]` become `cmd-ö` and `cmd-ä`. This mapping happens at
the time keyboard layout files are read so the keybindings are visible
in the command palette. To opt out of this behavior for your custom
keyboard shortcuts, set `"use_layout_keys": true` in your binding
section. For the mappings used for each layout [see
here](a890df1863/crates/settings/src/key_equivalents.rs (L7)).

lsp: Support Goto Declaration (#15785)
Adds support for [Goto
Declaration](https://microsoft.github.io/language-server-protocol/specifications/lsp/3.17/specification/#textDocument_declaration)
LSP command.

I am particularly interested in [this for Rust
projects](https://rust-analyzer.github.io/manual.html#go-to-declaration),
to be able to navigate to the place where a trait method is declared,
coming from a trait method implementation.

I noticed this was something I could do in VSCode before, but was
somehow missing is Zed. Thanks to the already existing infrastructure
for Goto Definition, I just followed and copy-paste-adapted it for Goto
Declaration.

As a bonus, I added `ctrl-F12` and `alt-ctrl-F12` as default macOS
keybindings for `GoToDeclaration` and `GoToDeclarationSplit`,
respectively. They are not keybindings from another editor, but I
figured they made sense to be grouped along with the other *F12
commands.

### Release Notes:

- Added "Go to declaration" editor action.
- vim: Breaking change to keybindings after introduction of the `Go to
declaration` editor action. The new keybindings are the following (and
can be found [here](https://zed.dev/docs/vim), alongside the other key
bindings):
  - `g d` - Go to definition
  - `g D` - Go to declaration
  - `g y` - Go to type definition
  - `g I` - Go to implementation

keymap: Allow modifiers as keys (#12047)
It is sometimes desirable to allow modifers to serve as keys themselves
for the purposes of keybinds. For example, the popular keybind in
jetbrains IDEs `shift shift` which opens the file finder.

This change treats modifers in the keymaps as keys themselves if they
are not accompanied by a key they are modifying.

Further this change wires up they key dispatcher to treat modifer change
events as key presses which are considered for matching against
keybinds.

Fix key-bindings doc typo (#12718)
`base_keymap` is a property of `settings.json`, not `keymap.json`. If
you run "toggle base keymap selector" and select a particular editor,
you will notice that it places the `base_keymap` property in
`settings.json`.
