#163310 composed PATH so that the selected candidate Node directory counted as a competing pre-existing Node provider, so the git candidate preflight could report and use a different Node than it had resolved (main hourly red in update-runner-git-candidate). Preflight now removes matching runtime-directory entries and reinserts the selected directory once, keeping launcher-only prefixes (scoped pnpm) ahead of it; the exposure assertion checks actual Node resolution during build and exposure.
