The Control UI top bar only rendered the OpenClaw › agent › page breadcrumb
on desktop, duplicating the sidebar. Desktop now renders no topbar row; the
row returns solely as the chat split toolbar's backdrop. Narrow viewports
keep the header (drawer toggle, brand, command-palette search) and now show
the brand across the whole drawer range. Routing already uses pushState, so
browser back/forward traverses navigation.
* feat(macos): add back/forward controls to the dashboard window
Native titlebar buttons next to the traffic lights drive WKWebView history,
which carries the Control UI's pushState navigation; enabled state tracks
canGoBack/canGoForward via KVO and trackpad swipe gestures are enabled too.
Back/forward traversals to entries from a replaced gateway endpoint cancel
silently instead of opening a dead URL in the system browser.
* fix(macos): keep the dashboard drag strip off the web content column
With the desktop topbar row removed, the 28px mid-window drag region sat on
top of the content column (chat thread has no top padding) and swallowed
clicks as window drags. Shrink it to a 12px edge strip; the sidebar region
over the reserved native-chrome padding stays the primary drag surface.

Adds client-capability-gated tool availability: gateway clients declare
capabilities at connect (new inline-widgets cap), chat.send stamps them into
the run context, and every tool assembly path (embedded runner, queued
followups, Codex app-server harness, plugin-only construction plans) drops
tools whose requiredClientCaps the originating client did not declare. The
Canvas plugin ships the first such tool, show_widget: agents pass SVG or an
HTML fragment plus a title; the plugin hosts it as a bounded, retention-scoped
Canvas document and returns the existing canvas preview handle, which web chat
renders as a sandboxed iframe fitted to the widget's reported content height.
Widget frames never get allow-same-origin (per-preview sandbox ceiling,
including the sidebar path) and the Canvas host serves widget documents with a
CSP sandbox header so direct navigation runs in an opaque origin. Verified
live end-to-end on a Testbox with gpt-5.5 (screenshots on the PR). CLI-backed
model backends do not carry client caps yet and stay fail-closed (#102577).

Feedback pass on the sessions redesign: status pills become a plain colored
dot + label (green pulse for live, green dot with neutral label for done,
muted idle, red failed) in both the roster and the drawer hero, and the
Runtime column moves out of the table into the row drawer as Runtime (agent
runtime) plus Run duration. Runtime stays searchable. Responsive breakpoints
reflow for the 7-column roster and the actions column shrinks to the chevron
and row menu that landed in #102564.

The Control UI sessions roster now leads with operator telemetry: overview
tiles (sessions / live / unread / tokens), per-kind row avatars with a live-run
dot, compact token values with context-usage meters (ok/warn/danger at
65%/85%), initial-load skeleton rows, and icon-led empty states. Stale token
snapshots render as ~approximations with a neutral meter and never drive
warning tones, matching the chat composer convention; the overview token sum
counts only known snapshots (~ when partial, n/a when none). Label chips
ellipsize instead of overflowing sticky columns; <=500px drops the avatar to
preserve the key column budget.

First connects backed by stored auth (URL/session token, password, or an
approved device token) now paint a small wiggling OpenClaw mark (delayed
fade-in, reduced-motion aware) until the hello resolves. The login gate
still owns credential-less first opens, rejected credentials, and manual
gate submissions.

terminal toggle a quiet ghost button, and drop the shadow plate behind

The i18n sync initially recorded English fallbacks for the new key,

- Footer collapses to one icon row (status dot, settings, docs, pairing,
mobile theme switch); default pinned nav routes are now Overview-only and
the Recent-collapse preference is retired.

Gateway (additive, no protocol version bump): SessionEntry gains
lastReadAt/markedUnreadAt/lastActivityAt; session rows expose a derived
unread flag (explicit mark, or last read before latest activity; never-read
sessions stay read so upgrades do not light up). lastActivityAt is stamped
in the canonical post-run store update - user, channel, and cron runs count
as activity; heartbeat, internal-event, and preserved-state runs do not.
sessions.patch gains unread; sessions.create gains fork (transcript fork
from parentSessionKey under the parent lifecycle lock, refusing active,
concurrently-changed, and oversized parents, cross-agent aware).
Web sidebar: Pinned/custom-group/Ungrouped sections, unread dots, kebab and
right-click context menu (pin, mark unread/read, rename, fork, move to group,
archive, delete guarded for agent main sessions and active runs), mark-read
on view with loop-safe re-acknowledgement and failure retry; sessions page
gets unread + fork actions and shared custom-group helpers.
iOS Command Center: grouped sections, unread/pin indicators, Show Archived
gated on per-entry state, full context menu with rename/new-group alerts and
delete confirmation, current-session preview guarantee, read-episode
re-acknowledgement; new patch/delete/fork transport calls; Swift protocol
models regenerated.
Android SessionsScreen: grouped headers, unread/pin indicators, Archived
filter gated on per-entry state, long-press menu with the full control set,
agent-scoped forks, explicit label/category clears from session events,
main-session fallback when archiving/deleting the open chat, read-episode

* feat(gateway): add system.info RPC and Gateway Host card in Settings
Settings quick page now shows where the Gateway runs and how the host
is doing: machine name, LAN address and runtime port, OS, Node/PID,
uptime, CPU count and load, RAM, and free disk on the state-dir volume.
Backed by a new additive operator.read RPC (system.info); the card
polls every 10s while visible and hides for clients without the read
scope or against older gateways.

Once a session is established, a dropped gateway WebSocket no longer
unmounts the dashboard into the login gate. The client's close handler
now reports willRetry (the same fact that drives its reconnect
scheduling), the gateway store derives a `reconnecting` snapshot state
from it (everConnected && willRetry), and the app shell stays mounted
with an amber "Gateway connection lost - reconnecting" banner plus a
Retry now action while the client retries with backoff. The login gate
is reserved for first connects, credential rejections, and manual gate
submissions; event-gap recovery also no longer flashes the gate.
createApplicationGateway moved from bootstrap.ts to gateway-store.ts
with an injectable client factory for direct behavior tests. Adds the
previously unstyled `.callout.warn` variant and a "Connection loss and
reconnect" docs section.

The OpenClaw mobile/companion app scans a pairing setup code to connect to the gateway, but that code + QR could only be produced by the openclaw qr CLI (ASCII to stdout). Non-terminal clients driving onboarding had no way to display the connect QR.
Add a device.pair.setupCode gateway method that reuses resolvePairingSetupFromConfig + encodePairingSetupCode + renderQrPngDataUrl to return { setupCode, qrDataUrl?, gatewayUrl, auth, urlSource }. The embedded setup code mints a short-lived bootstrap token that hands off broad operator scopes (read/write/approvals/talk.secrets), so the method requires operator.admin (matching the wizard methods a companion already uses) and is not advertised. auth is a label only; the gateway credential is never returned, and an oversized QR is omitted so the response always satisfies the result schema.

Adds `messages.responseUsage` (precedence session -> channel -> config default
-> off) so the persistent /usage footer can default-on, with three distinct
states: explicit on (tokens/full), explicit off (persisted), and unset (inherit
the configured default).
Unifies effective-value resolution behind a single channel-aware resolver
`resolveEffectiveResponseUsage` used by reply rendering, the no-arg /usage
toggle, the ACP control, and the gateway session-row builder; the row builder's
`effectiveResponseUsage` is carried through sessions.changed events, chat
snapshots, and the UI row so live consumers never go stale. `/usage reset`
(aliases inherit/clear/default) clears the override to inherit; only explicit
off persists; a full session reset preserves the preference. ACP "Usage detail"

/__openclaw__/__openclaw/control-ui-config.json URL that 404s.

composed URL is correct under any base path, align the Vite dev stub and
the docs, and add gateway.controlUi.basePath "/__openclaw__" coverage.

The reporter runs the default deployment (no gateway.controlUi.basePath),
so the Control UI SPA is mounted under the default /__openclaw__/ namespace.
A browser opening that entry infers basePath="/__openclaw__" from the URL
(inferBasePathFromPathname) and fetches /__openclaw__/control-ui-config.json,
but an empty-base-path gateway only served the bare /control-ui-config.json,
so the default-entry bootstrap request 404'd and chat never finished loading.
Make handleControlUiHttpRequest also accept the default-namespace alias
/__openclaw__/control-ui-config.json when no base path is configured. The
alias is derived from the existing CONTROL_UI_NAMESPACE_PREFIX mount constant
and is purely additive: the bare /control-ui-config.json endpoint and the
configured-base-path endpoint are both preserved (no route removed).
Add gateway HTTP coverage for the real default-entry scenario (empty base
path + /__openclaw__/... request) that fails without the alias, alongside the
configured-base-path, bare-path compatibility, and doubled-path 404 cases.

Current main and v2026.6.1 serve and document the single-underscore
/__openclaw/control-ui-config.json bootstrap endpoint under an empty
base path (that literal was CONTROL_UI_BOOTSTRAP_CONFIG_PATH before the
path was made base-path-relative). Making the constant relative dropped
that match, so older bundles and clients hitting the documented endpoint
would 404 after upgrading.
Accept the legacy single-underscore path as an empty-base-path
compatibility alias in matchesControlUiBootstrapConfigPath, derived from
the legacy /__openclaw namespace joined with the canonical config
constant (so it tracks any filename rename) and named
LEGACY_BOOTSTRAP_CONFIG_PATH with a comment. The canonical
/control-ui-config.json and the default-namespace
/__openclaw__/control-ui-config.json aliases are unchanged; only this
path is added. The doubled /__openclaw__/__openclaw/... path still 404s.
Add a focused regression that the legacy endpoint returns config under an
empty base path; it 404s without the alias (verified non-vacuous).

Extend matchesControlUiBootstrapConfigPath so the legacy single-underscore
suffix is accepted under every base path, not just the empty one. The
matcher now checks the canonical and legacy suffixes uniformly as
${basePath}${CONTROL_UI_BOOTSTRAP_CONFIG_PATH} and
${basePath}${LEGACY_BOOTSTRAP_CONFIG_PATH} for both the empty and
configured cases, reusing the existing LEGACY_BOOTSTRAP_CONFIG_PATH
constant (no new hard-coded literal). The default-namespace
/__openclaw__/control-ui-config.json alias stays empty-base-path-only
(it is the path the inferred default entry requests when no base path is
configured). All three empty-base-path behaviors are unchanged; the
doubled /__openclaw__/__openclaw/... path still 404s under both an empty
and a configured base path.
Add a focused regression that the configured-base-path legacy endpoint
