## Simple JSON Datasource Plugin Grafana support is implemented through plugin Simple JSON Datasource: https://grafana.com/plugins/grafana-simple-json-datasource The plugin can be installed following the instructions at: http://docs.grafana.org/plugins/installation/ ## Adding a Grafana Datasource Once the plugin Simple JSON Datasource is ready, a new Grafana datasource must be added in order to interact with ntopng. To add a new datasouce, select the Datasources Grafana menu. Specify "SimpleJson" as datasource type. In the HTTP settings of the datasource, insert the ntopng url up to the Grafana root endpoint. For example: http://192.168.2.130:3000/lua/modules/grafana Then, tick "Basic Auth" and specify username and password of a user that is authorized to access ntopng. Finally, hit "Save and Test" to make sure the datasource is properly configured. If everything is ok, Grafana will show a message "Success Data source is working". ## Adding Dashboard Panels With the new datasource properly configured, it is possible to add new panels that retrieve data from ntopng. To add a new panel, visit a dashboard select "Add Row", click on the panel type, and then select the newely created datasource. ## Notes: Tested with: - Grafana Version 4.4.0-pre1 (commit: 12219cf) - Simple JSON datasource plugin (https://github.com/simonemainardi/simple-json-datasource) @ 91f65e4e349914ae093e48ebe53e3c093832220e
