When reasoning chains branch too widely or run too long, entropy accumulates.
λ flips into divergence, ΔS rises above safe thresholds, and the model starts producing incoherent or contradictory answers.

## Fix in 60 Seconds
1. **Measure ΔS and λ**
- Compute ΔS(question, retrieved).
- If ΔS ≥ 0.60 or λ divergent, stop chain expansion.
2. **Clamp chain length**
- Split reasoning into ≤ 20 steps.
- Join segments with BBCR bridges.
3. **Variance control**
- Apply BBAM to enforce stable λ.
- Log ΔS every 200 tokens.
