inxi is a full featured CLI system information tool. It is available in most Linux distribution repositories, and does its best to support the BSDs.

Now we ignore the id identifier number, since the new i series from Intel either kills a logical processor or ships flawed quad cores as dual or dual HT, maybe even tri-core sometime.
