The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, typically leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually pushed up the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is taking advantage of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, already their includes McDonald's.
